How to join the Kentish Players

We’re delighted that you are looking to join the Kentish Players!

We produce 2 shows a year, our larger musical is performed in June/July, and we perform a smaller show in Autumn.

New Members

To join the Kentish Players, we ask you to attend three rehearsals, after the third rehearsal you will then need to complete a company audition. For this you are required to sing a song, and then either an acting piece or a dance piece. This audition will take place in front of a small number of the Kentish Player members from the committee (not the whole cast).  Following a successful company audition, you will then be an official Kentish Player and can then audition for a role. Full subs must be paid prior to auditioning for a role in any of our shows. New member in take is usually in the lead up to a show – November or August, however please contact us at any point in the year, if you are looking to join the Kentish Players.

Rehearsals and Fees

Rehearsals

For our main show, rehearsals take place on Mondays and Wednesdays. You may not be required at every rehearsal, but a full rehearsal schedule is sent out, once the show is cast. Within the weeks leading up to the show, we also rehearse on 4 Sundays leading up to the show for 4 hours, usually from from 10am – 2pm. Rehearsals for our Autumn show are on Wednesdays and several Mondays between September and November.
