KENTISH PLAYERS

Gordon has been a proud member of the Kentish Players since 1967, with his favourite production being Anne of Green Gables. Over the years, he has cherished countless moments with the group, sharing his passion for theatre and performance. When he’s not involved with the Kentish Players, Gordon enjoys traveling to Thailand, his favorite holiday destination, and is inspired by the magic of Sunset Boulevard on the West End. True to his love for the stage, one of Gordon’s favorite hobbies is participating in amateur dramatics (amdram), where his talent and dedication continue to shine.

John has been a valued member of the Kentish Players since 1993, bringing over three decades of dedication and passion to the group. Among his many experiences, Anything Goes stands out as his favorite production, showcasing his love for classic, high-energy musicals.

When he’s not involved with the Kentish Players, John enjoys relaxing in Portugal, his favorite holiday destination, or immersing himself in the glitz and glamour of 42nd Street on the West End. At home, you’ll often find John in the garden, where his green thumb and love for nature truly thrive.

Rosie has been a dedicated member of the Kentish Players since 2013 and has created countless cherished memories with the group. Her favorite production so far is Calendar Girls, a show that she found especially meaningful and fun to be part of.

For holidays, Rosie loves escaping to Padstow, where she can enjoy the charm of Cornwall. Picking a favorite West End show is no easy task for her, but Les Misérables, Wicked, Eugenius, and Dogfight are at the top of her list.

In her spare time, Rosie is passionate about amateur dramatics, enjoying a good gin, and soaking up all things theatre. She also has a green thumb, with a love for both house plants and garden plants adding a splash of life and color to her days.

Richard first joined the Kentish Players in 2002 but became a regular member in 2009. Since then, he’s been a key part of the group, with All Shook Up standing out as his favorite production.

When it comes to holiday destinations, Richard loves Florida, though he’s also been known to venture to Canada for a different experience (to keep things fresh, especially compared to Nicole’s choices!). On the West End, he can’t pick just one favorite, but The Play That Goes Wrong and The Book of Mormon are high on his list, thanks to their sharp humor and engaging performances.

Outside of the theatre, Richard enjoys acting, watching cricket, and playing snooker—he’s a man of many talents!

Cara joined the Kentish Players in 2008/09 and has been an enthusiastic member ever since. One of her favorite productions was The Wedding Singer, a show that captured her love for fun and high-energy performances.

When it comes to holidays, Cara’s heart belongs to Disney, where she enjoys the magic and excitement of the parks. On the West End, Moulin Rouge and Mean Girls are her top picks, thanks to their vibrant music and captivating stories.

And, of course, when it comes to hobbies, Cara’s number one passion is the Kentish Players! She truly loves every moment spent with the group, making theatre a key part of her life.

Nicole joined the Kentish Players in 2005 and has been a vibrant part of the group ever since. One of her standout moments was being involved in the production of Calendar Girls, which holds a special place in her heart. When she’s not on stage, Nicole loves escaping to Florida for some sunshine and fun. Her favorite West End show is the energetic and uplifting &Juliet, which she finds truly inspiring.
In her free time, Nicole enjoys watching her son play rugby, cheering him on with pride. Acting remains her greatest passion, and she brings enthusiasm and talent to every performance.

Charlie became a member of the Kentish Players in 2016 and has been an enthusiastic contributor ever since. One of his favorite productions with the group was The Wedding Singer, which perfectly matched his love for fun and vibrant storytelling. A fan of adventure and culture, Charlie’s favorite holiday destination is New York, where the energy of the city never fails to inspire him. On the West End, Come From Away is his top pick, thanks to its heartwarming and powerful narrative.

Charlie’s ideal weekend is a mix of his favorite hobbies: starting with a Friday night show, a Saturday morning round of golf, a rugby game in the afternoon, and karaoke in the evening. He’d round it all off with a relaxing Sunday enjoying a pub roast—truly a weekend to remember!

Elizabeth’s journey with the Kentish Players has spanned across three key moments: she first joined in 2002, returned in 2008, and came back again in 2018—proving that once a Kentish Player, always a Kentish Player! Among her favorite productions is Annie, a show that holds a special place in her heart.

For a dream holiday, Elizabeth longs for somewhere warm and relaxing where she can simply do nothing—though she admits it’s been far too long since her last getaway. On the West End, Company is her top pick, thanks to its sharp wit and memorable music.

Elizabeth’s hobbies include am-dram, singing, and scrolling through Rightmove to dream about houses she’ll (probably) never be able to afford—because who doesn’t love a little fantasy house shopping? ????

Steve joined the Kentish Players in 2019 and has been a dedicated member ever since. His favorite production so far has been The Wedding Singer, a show filled with fun and energy.

While he hasn’t found his ultimate favorite holiday destination yet, Steve enjoys anywhere that allows him to relax with good company, great food, and a good drink. On the West End, Dear Evan Hansen is his standout choice, thanks to its powerful and moving story.

When he’s not busy with the Kentish Players, Steve loves spending quality time with his son, Jacob, who is his greatest source of joy and inspiration.
