The Flint Street Nativity

The Flint Street Nativity
By Tim Firth, writer of Calendar Girls, Kinky Boots and Neville’s Island

Kentish Players are delighted to present The Flint Street Nativity, a warm, witty and very funny festive comedy by Tim Firth.

Miss Horrocks’ class of six-year-olds are about to perform their school nativity play for their proud mums, dads and the occasional social worker. As the big performance approaches, the usual playground squabbles, rivalries and classroom politics begin to unfold, revealing the hilarious and sometimes touching world of children trying to make sense of Christmas, family and each other.

In this clever comedy, the children are played by adults, who later become the watching parents, creating a brilliant shift in perspective as the story moves from classroom chaos to nativity-night reality.

Expect Christmas carols with a twist, oversized classroom props, cardboard Bethlehem scenery, plenty of festive fun and a lot of heart.

Venue: St Matthews Community Centre, Wigmore, ME8 0NP
